The Equipment used at ColonCare.

There are currently two different methods/equipment used to perform Colonics (Gravity System and the Latest Technology). The traditional method is known as the gravity system. This system is set up using a water butt fitted to a wall, which is concealed within a cupboard. The water butt is filled two-three times during a treatment via a shower header unit. Faecal waste is observed through a clear perspex section of tube fitted into the waste outlet pipe, this is usually reflected in a mirror to enable the client to view the waste.

State of the Art Equipment.

With an emphasis on quality and hygiene, no shortcuts have been taken. At ColonCare I decided to opt for the latest technology using a machine, the reasons are as follows.

  • It gives a variable flow of water entering the colon which provides a comfortable treatment, even for sensitive bowels.
  • It enables instant temperature changes to the water entering the colon which can give immediate relief, particularly if a spasm is present.
  • The machine is disinfected internally with its own built-in cleaning system and is easily sanitised externally with broad speculum sanitisers between every client. The sterilising solution eradicates all bacterial and viral infections including Hepatitis and HIV.
  • Faecal waste is clearly viewed by the therapist and client via a 12 inch long viewing tube which runs through the machine. A UV light enables clear analysis of waste.
  • Two particle filters, one carbon filter and a UV light ensure the water is free from particles and the UV light kills water borne bacteria. Filters are replaced every 6 months according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Disposable speculums and tubing are used which are opened in front of each client (not all therapists use disposable speculums and tubing)

The result is a clean hygienic, safe and odour free system - which means the whole experience is both enjoyable and healing for you.
